The 5th edition of Kitenge Festival UK took place on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Newham Leisure Centre, London, and saw in attendance great individuals and personalities in the African communities in the UK, Kitenge lovers, Ankara lovers and individuals who support African businesses.
Hosted by Kenya In The Park founder; Lydia Olet, the event saw in attendance; BEFFTA Founder and media mogul, Dr Pauline Long, UK Nollywood film maker, Toyin Moore, Miss Pride of Africa UK founder; Mrz Big, Miss Uganda UK 2017 amongst others.
The event was indoors this year and was a huge success with over 100 exhibitors of African accessories, fashion, jewellery, shoes, beauty products, food amongst other things.
“I’m very excited to have successfully seen Kitenge Festival success once again this year. It was a long journey and hard work put together, there were challenges, but I’m glad everything turned out great, amazing turnout, great event and networking, it was indeed a day filled with fun for everyone”. Founder Jo Nganda said to us after the event.
