A High-Level Zimbabwean delegation is preparing for an investment conference in London next week, to begin key talks to drive foreign investment into the southern African country.
The conference, ZIMDABA LONDON 2018, is the first Zimbabwe investment forum to be held in the UK since the political transition last year. The conference is being organised by Consolidated African Services (CAS) Ltd, a Zimbabwe and UK based multi-sectoral company.
The Zimbabwean delegation will include several senior Cabinet ministers and representatives from major domestic trade and regulatory bodies.
The two-day meeting, which will run from 15-16 March, is bringing together influential business leaders and investors from the United Kingdom and Europe to deliberate and discuss investment opportunities in Zimbabwe.
Sponsored by Exotix Capital, Zimbabwe Diaspora Investment Group, fastjet and Atlas Mara among others, the event is taking place at the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington, London.
CAS Principal Director (UK) Nicholas Holme said: “Zimdaba London 2018 is a unique opportunity for investors, business sector leaders, and foreign affairs specialists to hear the new Zimbabwe Government articulate their plans for Zimbabwe’s re-engagement with the global business community.”
“The nation is full of potential. Zimdaba London 2018 will help pave the way for the revival of Zimbabwe as an economic powerhouse in the Southern African region,” Mr Holme added.
Exotix Capital CEO Duncan Wales said: “Exotix has a long history of market coverage in Southern Africa and, at this critical political and economic turning point for Zimbabwe, we’re delighted to facilitate interaction between the new administration and global investors through this landmark event.”

Since assuming office, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been reaching out and encouraging foreign investors to play a part in rebuilding the country, saying that ‘Zimbabwe is open for business’.
Zimdaba London 2018 is fully supported by President Mnangagwa and his ministerial team, as part of a wider development programme that will begin the process for Zimbabwe’s global re-engagement. Senior government representatives attended the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and the 30th African Union Summit in January 2018.
Ministerial-level delegations will be travelling to other world capitals in the coming months to promote Zimbabwe’s re-engagement plan for inward reinvestment.
The Zimbabwe London Investment Forum has been created to bring together business leaders, investors from the UK and Europe and high level business and ministerial delegates from Zimbabwe, to discuss and action investment opportunities in Zimbabwe.
Conference organiser Consolidated Africa Service Ltd is a dynamic multinational organisation with a Zimbabwe and Southern Africa focus. The organisation has interests in social capital, mining, energy generation and other key sectors.
