BBNaija Mike Edwards’ Wife Perri Retires From Athletics

Perri Edwards, wife of former Big Brother Naija reality TV star, Mike Edwards, has called time on her career as an athletic.

The Olympian is quitting after 20 years in the profession.

Perri made this known via her Instagram page on Thursday, February 13, 2020, where she shared a video of herself partaking in an international competition alongside athletes from other countries.

She accompanied the post with a lengthy note that detailed how she was introduced to athletics as a little girl and went on to spend 16 years in the field.

“Athletics has given me many opportunities, including travelling the world and meeting many people. It’s been my life for 20 years but I’m ready to move on and look forward to my future ahead,” she said.

Perri is a British track and field athlete who has multiple honor to her name including the 2013 European Indoor Champion in the 400 metres and a 2012 World Indoor Championship gold medal in the 4×400 metres relay

20 years since I was first introduced to athletics as a little girl, 16 years as a professional athlete.
