The African Euro Hospitality Association, together with the Nigerian British Hospitality Association, proudly presents an evening of LIVE performance by Nigerian artist Chief Doctor Morocco Maduka, accompanied by DJ Omo Whyte and other guests.
The pre-Mothers Day concert will kick of with red carpet interview, great music and delicious Nigerian food from Coco’s Afric-Carib Restaurant’s catering will be served on the night.
Chief Dr. Prince Morocco Maduka takes his place beside such eminences as Area Scatter, Show Promoter, and Chief Akunwafor Ezigbo Obiligbo. Obioma Special (Sammy Sparkle All Stars SSAS 011, 1981) is the sort of album that will make you fall in love with Igbo traditional music. It’s all here the traditional percussion (nary a synthesizer in earshot!), the brilliant interplay of the call-and-response vocals and the lyrics touching on contemporary concerns. Of course, there’s the usual obsequious praise-singing, but that’s par for the course.
