Chris Brown Reveals Wizkid Will Appear on His Upcoming “Breezy” Album

Chris Brown has announced the release date and cover art for his upcoming “Breezy” album.

The R&B singer revealed the news on Tuesday, May 17 on Instagram, with the caption “JUNE 24th BREEZY ALBUM.”

Christopher Maurice Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, graffiti artist and actor. According to Billboard, Brown is one of the most influential and successful R&B singers ever, with several considering him the “King of R&B” alongside Usher and R. Kelly. His musical style has been defined as polyhedric, with his R&B being characterized by several influences from other genres, mainly hip hop and pop music. His lyrics develop predominantly over themes of sex, romance, fast life, desire, regret, and emotional conflict. Being described by media outlets and critics as one of the biggest talents of his time in urban music, Brown gained a cult following, and wide comparisons to Michael Jackson for his stage presence as a singer-dancer.

The cover art is a black-and-white shot of Brown’s back of his head with the word “Breezy” shaved into his hair. He also hinted at some of the album’s features, which include Wizkid, Lil Wayne, Tory LanezH.E.R.Ella Mai, and more.

“Breezy” is the official follow-up to Chris Brown’s second double album, “Indigo“, released in 2019.

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (born 16 July 1990), known professionally as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He began recording music at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed. In 2009, Wizkid signed a record deal with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E). He later rose to the limelight after releasing “Holla at Your Boy“, the lead single from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), which also spawned the singles “Tease Me/Bad Guys” and “Don’t Dull“.
