Popular Nigerian singer and industry heartthrob Ruger took to his Instagram page to make a post, thanking popular blogger Tunde Ednut for being the first person to discover him before his record label.

In his post, he wrote, “Just because I’m free to talk now, I want to specially thank @mazitundeednut for being the initial person that discovered me before handing me over to prince. God bless you king maker”

This is the first time Ruger is publicly acknowledging that it was Tunde Ednut who discovered him before handing him over to D’Prince, who signed him to the Jonzing World Record in 2021. Ruger’s post implied that he wasn’t free to talk at first, and now that he is no longer part of Jonzing World, he can speak freely. This brings to mind the question of whether Ruger was not permitted to give Tunde Ednut accolades while he was on the Jonzing World record label.

Recall that not too long ago, Ruger shocked his fans by releasing a statement about his departure from the Jonzing World Record. This came as a shock because he was signed just roughly three years ago, which made his departure appear abrupt.

He also stated that he would be launching his personal record label following his exit from Jonzing World.

Despite the many eyebrows that were raised, Ruger didn’t offer any insight as to why he was leaving his former record label, and neither did D’Prince. Instead, a new artist was signed to Jonzin World following Ruger’s exit, which prompted further questions as to whether there was an issue between Ruger and his former record label.
