Barack Obama, David Cameron and Helle Thorining-Schmidt
Selfie Pic goes Viral!
President Barack Obama, David Cameron, and Denmark Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt took a group phone photograph (Selfie) at the memorial service for the late South African President Nelson Mandela.
Have you heard of the term funeral selfie? People take pictures of themselves at funerals. This act is usually assocciated with kids and young people who are self-absorbed to understand the situation. Well this three great leaders were found doing selfie, this has been the biggest news after the memorial of Nelson Mandela, yesterday the 10th of December in South Africa.
First Lady Michelle Obama is also in the photo, although she’s pictured looking forward, uninvolved in the whole selfie shenanigans, we guess she think its inapproprate at a memorieal. We agree with her because if leaders want to have a selfie, they can arrange a holiday or meet up somewhere approprate lol! She made Obama switch sits after the selfie icident and apologise for his behaviour. Yes she is the first lady!
So why take a group picture at a funeral/memorial service? Well, those who turned out for Mandela’s memorial service were reportedly sitting in a stadium for four hours, that we know is boring. World leaders apparently do what we all do when there’s nothing else to do, whip out our smartphones??
OMG! It’s not the selfie itself that is circulating, but a picture of them taking the picture,it’s reported to be Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt who took the picture.
People think Obama looked to a past president for inspiration. George W.Bush also attended the memorial and posted an instagram photo of him smiling next to U2 singer Bono.
Well lets all blink, I guess we are all human at the end of the day and enjoy our technology and gadgets, mostly durning our free hours.
