Nollywood Multi Award winning producer, Obi Emelonye’s  movie ONYE OZI (The Messenger)  has made it to Netflix, a popular provider of on-demand internet streaming media. Onye Ozi, is a vernacular spoken movie set in London and stars top Nigerian comedian and actor Okey Bakassi.

An Igbo film making it to Netflix? Wow! Director Obi Emelonye you never seize to surprise us. Well-done!

The indigenous style movie took to Nigerian Igbo language. Featuring Nigerian and British actors and also subtitled in english, you really wouldn’t bother with, because the action is clear, on point and understandable.

Netflix is a provider of on-demand streaming media, available to people with internet access. Streaming lets you watch films and TV online instantly. You don’t download the content, but play it live on your device, such as Phones, laptops, iPad and pc, through your internet connection.

The talented movie director took to his Facebook page to announce the good news earlier today. “This is an Igbo film oh! You see, we have to be local, before we can be global. The journey has been long but we give thanks“. He said.
