A brief history of military ruler Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida
General Ibrahim Badamasi bangida popularly known as (IBB) was born August 17, 1941, the retired Nigerian Army General was President of Nigeria under military rule. He ruled Nigeria from August 27, 1985, when he overthrew the then Major General Muhammadu Buhari in a coup.
There were evidence of severe human rights abuses during his regime, including the killing by a letter bomb of Dele Giwa, a magazine editor who passed away in 1986.

Obi Emelonye often said ‘We need to tell our own stories and not leave it in the hands of foreigners’. He is definitely taking words into action. Such a historic story is what we need in Africa in general.
