Young Girl whose mugshot went viral might have secured her own make-up line

A viral mugshot of an American girl, Marshala Perkins has resulted in a possible make-up line. Does this mean she could be the female version of hot felon’ Jeremy Meeks? Well here is what actually happened.

Marshala Perkins a former Texan university student had uploaded a beauty tutorial to Facebook Live not long before her arrest in February this year.

She was waiting for her friends in her car when police pulled up, searched her vehicle and found two grams of marijuana. She was arrested and taken to Hunt County Jail where the mugshot above was taken. The image was uploaded onto a deeply questionable Twitter account called @mugshotbaes where people started complimenting her beauty look.

“My phone started going crazy,” Perkins said. “I was still kind of embarrassed about it because it was something I didn’t want people to know. But then when I started reading the comments I was like, besides me being in jail, people are really noticing my talent and what I can do.”

Perkins saw her social media following dramatically rise and has even been offered her own make-up collection. She has also recently launched her own YouTube channel, although hasn’t published any tutorials yet.

“Someone has reached out to me about starting my own make-up line,” she told the Star-Telegram. “It’s crazy. My mind is blown. Now it’s turned into something so positive so I’m just going to embrace it and see where it takes me.” She added.

She has since then started uploading more make-up pics on her Instagram

As we said, this has sparked comparisons with the now infamous ‘hot felon’ Jeremy Meeks who launched a modelling career after his mugshot went viral. He recently had a child with Philip Green’s daughter, Chloe Green. | Rebranding & Celebrating Africa!
