The Jo Maxwell Show Gives Black Women a Platform to Courageously Share their Stories – Here are the Season 2 Premiere Pictures

On October 26th 2018 media personality, Jo Maxwell hosted a luxurious launch party at the Hilton Hotel in Paddington, to celebrate the new season of her PepTalk Series. The launch party included guests from the show, media representatives, influencers as well as her fans and supporters.

The show is aimed at Black women from all over the world and The UK including the African and Caribbean diaspora and African-American community.  It is broadcast on two channels on Sky TV; FAME TV and VoxAfrica and has a growing audience.  Jo launched her show in 2017 to give women an opportunity to showcase these successes and counteract the lack of representation of Black women in the UK within the media. The Jo Maxwell Show reminds black women from across the diaspora in the UK and internationally that there is no limit to their potential.

“I want to change the narrative of black women and show the positive success stories that go untold whilst showcasing some of the inspiring and amazing black people who have done so well for themselves in the UK and across the globe. Season 2 will also be tackling real life issues and topics that the Black British Community is not always confident talking about  i.e. Raising a child with Special Needs, mental health issues (Depression), getting cosmetics surgery done, issues with supporting black businesses and lots more.”–  Jo Maxwell
