The 9th edition of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) finally came to an end on Saturday, 16 November after five days of screening several films and documentaries.

This year’s festival opened with Waad Al-Kateab and Edward Watts‘ Film – For Sama. And closed with Akin Omotosho‘sThe Ghost and the House of Truth’

‘The Ghost and the House of Truth’ made Nigeria proud by grabbing the award for Best Director as well as winning in two other categories.

The premiere had several Nollywood practitioners led by Ego Boyo, Hilda Dokubo, Rita Dominic, Tope Tedela, Uzor Osimkpa, Akin Omotosho, Toyin Osinaike, Seun Ajayi, and Kate Henshaw.

AFRIFF 2019  was held at the newly constructed Filmhouse Cinemas at Landmark Village, Lagos. from Sunday, 10 November to Saturday, 16 November.
