Equality Now: Inside the 2019 Edition of Make Equality Reality Gala Where Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie Was a Honored Guest

The 2019 Edition of Equality Now’s Make Equality Reality Gala was held on Tuesday, 19 November at the Capitale Event Center in New York. And renowned Nigerian writer and author Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie was honored at this year’s event.

The announcement from Equality Now reads: “This year we are honoring Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and the second annual #Changemaker Award presented by Gucci and Chime for Change will be presented to Scarlett Curtis.”

Equality Now’s annual Make Equality Reality event is a unique event of arts, advocacy, and entertainment that inspires activism and celebrates those who are influential in elevating the conversation around women’s rights and equality.

Other special guest at the event were renowned Canadian writer Margaret Atwood, Indian award-winning Monsoon Diary author and journalist Shoba Narayan (Hamilton ), singer Linda Perry and more.
