Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun has announced that he will be collaborating with a leading Chinese movie group named Huawen for his next film project titled “30 Days in China.”
The actor made this known in a post on his Instagram page alongside a picture of him at the office of Huawen movie group in China. He also revealed that a meeting between him and the group executives already took place.
He wrote: “30 Days in China meeting holding at Huawen Movie group office… we are looking at a brighter future for Nollywood.”
The collaboration is set to be the first of its kind between Nollywood and the Chinese film industry. AY is joined by chairman of Filmone Entertainment, Moses Babatope, who says that the collaboration will expose Nollywood filmmakers to Chinese cutting-edge movie equipments, lucrative market and large audience .
“We will be exposed to a lucrative and moving Chinese film market. It’s like skipping many hurdles and getting access to an existing mature market,” Babatope said in an interview with CNN
“30 Days in China” will be the third of his popular comedy adventure movie franchise behind 30 Days in Atlanta and 10 Days in Sun City.
