Popular night club Quilox has been shut down by order from Lagos State Government.
The club, which is located in Victoria Island and recently held a 36-hours incessant party, was sealed by the state government and its owner, House of Reps. Member, Shina Peller detained for trying to secure the bail of customers/party-goers who were arrested on crackdown.
Announcing the news on Twitter, SA to the governor on media, Jubril Gawat disclosed the club was sealed for Noise Pollution and Traffic Congestion.

While a lawmaker also revealed that Shina Peller was illegally detained by the police in a series of tweets.
“You arrest those parked on the road. Someone goes to bail the people arrested. You arrest the person to. That summarizes why @ShinaPeller was arrested.”
The shut down of Quilox and arrest of Shina Peller has once again brought police activities into public attention. Nigerians and regular visitors of the night club have since taken to social media to air their opinions.
