Duchess of Sussex Megan Markel is the genius at the heart of behind the scenes guest editing for British Vogue’s record-breaking September 2019 issue.
The issue titled “Force For Change” has gone on to become the fastest-selling issue in the Magazine’s 104-year history, with copies flying off the shelves and selling out in 10 days.
The cover of “Force For Change” featured portraits of 15 influential women, including Yara Shahidi and Salma Hayek, and was a departure from previous royal collaboration.
Even more startling is the fact that “Force For Change” has also become the biggest selling issue of the past decade which is no doubt down to Megan’s graceful act and crave for positive changes in the near future.
Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful, made the announcement via his Instagram page. While the Magazine chose to air its first ever behind the scene film – a conversation between Enninful, Megan and the stars which featured on the cover of the issue – as a way of celebrating the unprecedented sales feat.

Earlier today @edward_enninful, the Editor in Chief of @britishvogue shared: “#ForcesForChange, guest edited by The Duchess of Sussex @SussexRoyal, was our fastest-selling issue in the history of #BritishVogue ( sold out in 10 days) and the biggest-selling issue of the past decade. I can't wait to see what 2020 has in store…” • To celebrate, we wanted to share this never before seen video behind the scenes with Edward and The Duchess of Sussex on the creation of this special issue. Please note, this was filmed last August in London. Congratulations to all of those who took part in the 2019 September issue, and huge thanks to those who supported and helped make this a success!
