Popular British actor Idris Elba has become the latest celebrity to test positive for the coronavirus.
Idris Elba says he has tested positive for the contagious COVID-19 and will now go into isolation with his wife Sabrina.
The movie star made this known via his Twitter page on Monday, March 16, 2020, where he shared a video of himself addressing the public.
The 47-year old actor says that he hasn’t shown any symptoms but got tested after finding out he has been in contact with someone else who tested positive.

“This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic,” he captioned the post.

The announcement comes less than a week after actor Tom Hanks said he and his wife, the actress Rita Wilson, had tested positive for the virus.
The cronavirus has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization having infected more than 115,800 people and killed over 6000 worldwide.
