Naira Marley expressed his skepticism over the existence of the dreaded coronavirus and it has not gone down well with many people on the internet.
The singer recently took to his Twitter page on Monday, March 23, 2020, where he called on his ultra fan base popularly known as “Marlians” to retweet his post about them not believing in the spread of the COVID-19 virus that has taken the world by storm.
“Retweet if u don’t believe in CoronaVirus,” he tweeted.

However, the singer did not get the reaction he had hoped from his critically acclaimed loyal fans. Instead, many were irritated by his request and took to the comment section of his post to blast him for his ignorance, stupidity and quest for attention.
One notable fan identified as @SonofLion noted that even Naira Marley’s mentor, Fela Kuti, was also skeptical of the disease that eventual took his life.

Someone should tell Naira Marley he’s doing things the wrong way. It’s okay to want to trend before releasing song or video but not by playing with what’s causing panic in the country.
You don’t see Wizkid or Davido using Corona Virus to catch cruise na🌚

You are dumb and dull to expect better from Naira Marley. He called girls puta and you all danced but you are here now expecting him to act sane, not possible.
A lion can never give birth to a goat, nothing sensible can come out of Naira Marley’s tweet or speech..it’s expected

Naira Marley has finally joined Zlatan and Davido in using preposterous way of chasing clout to promote tracks or videos.
As someone with a massive fan base, you really don’t need this. I’m a fan bro, You’re doing it the wrong way and you’ve got no one to tell you the truth.
