President Buhari Finally Addresses Nigerians on Coronavirus, says COVID-19 is “Now a Key Priority” For The Government


Check out the video of President Muhammadu Buhari’s first address to the nation concerning the outbreak and surge of coronavirus cases in the country.

On Sunday, March 22, 2020, President Muhammadu Buhari finally addressed Nigerians about the Coronavirus pandemic currently making headway in the country.

The Personal Assistant on New Media to the President, Bahir Ahmed, shared a video of Buhari speaking on the coronavirus pandemic.

In the short video, the president assured the country that tackling the coronavirus has become a “key priority” for his government.

He said:

“We are working with [Federal] Ministry of Health (@FMoHNigeria) on protecting our citizens from #COVIDー19, as a government, this is now a key priority for us”. — President @MBuhari on #coronavirus pandemic. #COVID19Nigeria.”

As at 05:28 pm on the 22nd of March, there are 30 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
