Fuji artist Salewa Abeni‘s blackmailer has finally been apprehended by the police.
Few months ago, music icon Salewa Abeni was subjected to a series of online blackmail over her nude photos by an anonymous individual who asked for money in other not to release them.
Well, the culprit has been identified as one Olufowoke Oladunjoye Emmanuel, a 19-year-old graduate of eletrical engeenering at YABATECH who was recently arrested by The Rapid Response team of the Police Force.
Confessing to the police, Emmanuel revealed that he picked up a memory card containing the nude photos of the Waka Queen on the floor in YABATECH in November 2019. After downloading the photos, he moved to establish contact with the veteran music star following his acquisition of her phone number via her Instagram bio.
Emmanuel in his statement, disclosed:“On 1st of April, 2020, I chatted her up and also called her after sending few of the photos to her online. My intention was to negotiate with her for few bucks and for me to destroy the photographs.
I thought everything was going on fine until the following day when I heard the news of the blackmail over the radio. I was with my mother. She was even cursing the blackmailer unknown to her that I was the brain behind it.
I immediately sneaked out, destroyed the memory card and threw my mobile phone and SIM card into nearby wetland in Magboro. Since then, I never mentioned it to anyone and called Madam Salawa Abeni about it again.”
Salewa Abeni has also taken to social media to announce the news of her blackmailer’s apprehension. In a post shared on her Instagram page, the Fuji artist expressed her gratitude to men of the Nigerian Police Force alongside everyone who showed her support.
