Controversial Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has apologized to the founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, for insulting him.
An old video went viral last week which showed the media personality calling the preacher “a screeching bald-headed fowl.”
Freeze took to his Instagram page on Saturday, September 12, 2020, where he shared a video of himself apologizing to the esteemed clergyman.
In the video, the OAP said he did not intend to dishonour Oyedepo.
He said: “My attention has been brought to a video I released some two years, seven months ago while addressing some issues that arose back then. I apologize for the delivery of my message and for any insult to Bishop David Oyedepo in that video as I did not intend to, in any way, dishonour, disrespect or disregard the person of the Bishop.
“The perceived intention to the contrary is regretted. My method of addressing doctrinal issues have long since evolved to a more scriptural and less confrontational approach. I was and still passionate in my quest to address what I believe are unresolved doctrinal issues, however, from a more amicable perspective. I am of the firm belief that for our faith to thrive, we as Christian believers must open to absorbing new theological and doctrinal frames of references as against the faith model subsumed in unchallengeable beliefs. This can be achieved in love for the furtherance of our faith.”
Known for propagating controversial Christian doctrines, Daddy Freeze, who is the Convener of the Free the Sheeple Movement and Leader of the Free Nation in Christ had come under fire for verbally attacking Oyedepo in the video.
The video which the religious critic released almost three years ago recently generated controversy after Port Harcourt-based pastor, David Ibiyeomie, stood on his pulpit and verbally assaulted Freeze.
Other notable pastors around the country have since joined in criticizing the outspoken OAP.
