Music Star and African legend, Tuface Idibia, has finally reacted after Burna Boy was shown more recognition with his name written bigger and bolder on a Las Vegas African music event poster. In the event poster, Tuface’s name was lined up alongside other smaller Nigerian artists’ names at the bottom of the poster.
Even though the self-acclaimed African giant will be headlining the Chop Vegas show later this year, a show where Tuface, Timaya, Flavour and other Nigerian artists are billed to perform.
After the poster went public, Tuface shared it on his Instagram to let his fans know, however, they did not hesitate to point out the disrespect to his name.
Some of his fans were of the opinion that the legendary singer shouldn’t be playing second fiddle to Burna Boy. They demanded to know why Tuface was placed with other artists in smaller font at the bottom while Burna Boy’s name was conspicuous in the poster. While others said it was disrespectful for the show promoters to do that.
Reacting, Tuface said he understands the angle people are coming from but that it’s how life is. Giving an example, he explained that older Nigerian footballers like J.J. Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo respect the current Nigerian footballers like Ighalo and Obafemi Martins.
He added that it doesn’t change the fact that he is “too much” and “2baba will be 2baba always”.
