Actor Uche Maduagwu who has remained controversial online has claimed recently he was paid to do a character assassination on Davido for declining to his ‘sister’ Chioma Rowland.
For some time, Davido and his estranged fiancée, Chioma were inseparable and he even made a song titled “Assurance” for her in 2018.
Visuals of the song also featured the Chioma with whom he shares a son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, with the theme of the song centred on the fact that the singer vowed to always love her.
The duo got engaged in 2019 and was supposed to tie the nuptial knot in 2020 but that didn’t happen. Rumours of their breakup were on many’s lips and further fuelled after several intimate pictures of a singer and a 22-year-old American Instagram model, Mya Yafai, hit the internet in 2021.
In one of the pictures, the “Fem” singer was seen giving Yafai a French kiss.
Maduagwu, together with in-laws of Chioma online after Davido’s failure to marry her seized every opportunity to slam him.
Although, many still hoped Davido and Chioma would at a point in life find their way back together especially as Chioma used Davido’s private airbus to London with her son to attend his sold-out O2 arena show in London earlier this month.
But all hopes of their reunion seemed to have crashed following the disclosure of Chioma’s alleged new lover by a blogger who also shared his photo.
However, Maduagwu has now made a u-turn as he sought the singer’s forgiveness over his incessant attacks.
According to Uche’s post on IG, the media sensation wrote: “I was paid to criticise David for not getting married to my sis. Dear men, marriage no be by force. Biko forgives me. OBO you are more useful to us than audio Odogwu arrogance.”
