As the parents of the adopted 5-year-old were arranging to pay the N6M ransom demanded by her kidnappers, they were not aware that her teacher (kidnapper), Abdulmalik Tanko, the proprietor of Noble Kids Nursery & Primary School, Kawana, Kano have killed the 5-year-old with rat poison.
The kidnapper confessed that he killed the little girl because she recognised him.
Abdulmalik Tanko, age 30 and Hashim Isyaku, age 37 were arrested while trying to receive the N6m ransom.
Baby Hanifa who according to BBC is an only child was found dead, with her body cut into pieces and buried at school premises located at Tudunwada, Kano.
Her mother has been hospitalised after the death of her only child, while her father is shattered.
