Popular Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has weighed in her opinion on one of the most interesting topics about matters of the heart, and it’s intriguing.
In a country like Nigeria where a woman is widely expected to be dependent on a man for her financial needs, it’s no secret that many men can’t find the ground to express their feelings to a successful woman who has singlehandedly acquired wealth for herself in the event of falling in love with her.
But Toke Makinwa says any man who is intimidated by the successful life a woman has built for herself is not meant to be with her.
The controversial media girl made this known to media mogul Ubi Franklin who sought her opinion about men who are scared to approach her due to her celebrity status during a recent video conversation on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
According to her, any man who is intimidated by a hardworking woman is not worthy to be with her.
She went on to talk about how men should draw inspiration from her life’s journey as someone who lost her parent at the age of eight and had to work really hard to build a good life for herself.
“Any man who is intimidated by a
hardworking woman is not your guy. Any man who meets me now should be inspired. I lost both parents at 8. I basically built a life for myself. If that doesn’t inspire you, I don’t want to be with you,” she said.
Toke Makinwa is unarguably Nigeria’s biggest female media personality. She is known for hosting The Morning Drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM and for her YouTube vlog series Toke Moments.
