Evicted housemate Ozo has opened up about his relationship with Nengi at the Big Brother Naija house and why he was attracted to her.
Ozo says he got drawn to Nengi for her strength and strong personality, and it made perfect sense to go after her.
The latest evictee made this known while fulfilling his media obligation with Ebuka following his eviction on Sunday.
During their interesting conversation, Ozo said he felt a strong pull to Nengi from the point she confronted him at his birthday to let him know that she was aware of his feelings for her but that they should try to be friends.
He said: “I think my birthday, she came to me and started saying ‘I know you have feelings for me but this is what the whole situation is like for me. We should at least try and be friends.
“At that point, I knew that because of how I felt for her, if I went into trying to be friends, I knew it would still get me to this point.”
The young man added that even though he knew the BBNaija competition was not a love show, going after the woman he loves was a way of living his own reality.
He continued by stating that if people are going to criticize him for going overboard for someone he loves, then he is not the bad person.
“So, I just made a conscious decision that this is what it is. I said I wouldn’t want to worry about public perception because I know it is not a love TV show but I was following my own reality,” he further explained.
Ozo’s stay at Biggie’s house was defined by his protracted pursuit of love interest, Nengi who never really committed to him.
Though the two housemates were fond of each other, their ‘ship’ was pretty much stuck in the friend zone and never sailed to the lover zone up till the moment he left the house.
He was evicted from the show on Sunday.
