Popular period drama Downton Abbey is coming back to cinemas. The movie is now screening in UK cinemas.

This will be the exhibition’s second film spin-off following the first Downton Abbey movie that was shot in 2019. The newest Downton Abbey: New Era features a mix of the old cast from the series and first movie and some new faces. The trailer has been available to watch on the official Downton Abbey YouTube channel.

The brand-new movie is set in France, which will be a colossal change for fans used to seeing the British countryside and historical buildings as a backdrop for Downton. It means you can expect more than British culture to run through the film.

Who is in the Downton Abbey: New Era cast?

The Downton Abbey: New Era cast includes main cast favorites including Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern and Michelle Dockery. A new face joining the cast is Dominic West (The Affair).
