Popular Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, professionally known as Simi, has taken to social media to vent at the state of education in Nigeria.
Simi has called the entire essence of formal education in the country into question as she points at how people often end up deviating from what they studied in school in the haunt for a better standard of living.
The music star in a post shared via her Instagram stories on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, was critical in her assessment of Nigeria’s educational system, describing it as “shit”

First she highlighted how people put up with the rigorousness of school for so many years and still end up forgetting what they were taught.
Then she added that a great number of people have potential and talent that they do not tap into because school made them believe it is not prestigious enough. According to her, they spend years learning something they do not care about.
The mother of one went on to ask why going to school still feels important when people end up doing something else with their lives afterwards.
She concluded by asking “who did this to us?”
Simi, 32, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress. She is slso known for her outspoken attitude towards pressing social issues in the country.
