Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has replied that a male troll is body-shaming her and her colleague, Toyin Abraham.

The troll had taken to her comment section to advise her to shed weight. He stated that it’s unwise how she is getting fat and yet feeling unbothered.

He added that it is more unwise not to know that fatness isn’t good for an actress of her kind, as it would affect her role delivery.

The troll added that it is more unwise that many of them think getting fat is evidence of good living, forgetting that obesity kills and causes discomfort.

He admonished her and Toyin Abraham to lose weight as he noted how they had changed shape and signature.

The troll wrote, “Funke Akindele, it’s unwise how you’re getting too fat yet feeling unbothered. More unwise not knowing fatness isn’t good for an actress of your kind as it may affect role delivery and prevent directors from contacting characters that need smart, flexible, and fit actresses. Most unwise, many of y’all celebs think getting fat is evidence of good living, forgetting obesity kills and causes discomfort. U & Toyin Abraham need do a lot about weight reduction. U people have changed shape and signature. Hit gym 24hrs. Avoid junk, and limit excess sleeping. Be wise. Don’t be unwise”.

Replying to him, Funke Akindele appreciated his advice and insulted him.She wrote, “Yes, sir. Werey Alaso”.

This isn’t the first time Funke has been shamed on social media. Last year, Funke replied to a Twitter user who advised her to get remarried.

The tweep had urged her to get remarried in 2024, pointing out how the filmmaker is getting old, and Funke responded by appreciating him for the advice and noting how he is the wedding planner.

The box office queen had also slammed her trolls while discussing her survival in the movie industry.

She spoke about being an underdog in the industry and how she keeps pushing the boundaries in Nigerian cinema.

Last week, during singer Dbanj’s anniversary dinner, Funke Akindele recounted how God used him to speak to her to keep her popular Jenifa brand.

The award-winning actress revealed that the singer was the one who encouraged her to keep the brand on fire, as he noted how Jenifa is a lucrative brand that she should keep milking and feasting on.

To show his support for her, he gifted her money to work on more sequences, and that brought about the return of Jenifa.
