Nollywood iconic actress and movie producer, Genevieve Nnaji, has made her first appearance in months at the Creative Nexus Weekend in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
The actress had sparked concerns early this year after she no show at her bestie, Rita Dominic’s wedding. Things heated up some days after her birthday in May when she deleted all her Instagram posts and unfollowed her colleagues on the platform.
Nnaji had since been largely absent from the social media and Nollywood events scene altogether.
She, however, showed up at the 2022 edition of the Creative Africa Nexus as one of the speakers at the events.
Also known as the CANEX Weekend, the programme runs from Friday, 25th November and will end on the 26th of November on Sunday.
The event is a gathering of Africa’s brightest minds and aims at showcasing the diversity of talents from across the continent and the diaspora.
Nigerian music star, Yemi Alade, is also scheduled to perform at the event as a headliner.
Idris Elba and Chimamanda Adichie also spoke at the event which held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Genevive Nnaji’s fans were super excited to see her healthy and looking great. Sharing a photo of herself looking out the window on her Instastory, it looks like the movie star is telling her fans she is ready to come back and harness her dreams.
There are also reports circulating that she is set to shoot a new movie in 2023. Many said she made a powerful comeback.
