Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has finally taken to social media to unveil her baby’s face.

Halima Abubakar is introducing us to her bundle of joy, hopefully for real this time.

The movie star took to her instagram page on Sunday, August 16, 2020, where she shared a video of her baby boy with the beautiful caption: “Biggest boy. My heart My lion.”

In the new video, her cute son was seen wide-eyed as he peered at the camera and fans could not help but note how cute he was in the comment section.

Halima Abubakar became a mother on April 3, 2020, after she gave birth to her first child. The actress announced the arrival of her son with a cute baby photo at the time.

However, drama ensured barely 48 hours after the big reveal as the mother of one was forced to take down the photo following a heated confrontation with an American mum who accused her of using another child’s photo to pose as that of her child.

The woman also claimed to own the baby in the photo.

BBNaija Season Five witnessed its first lone ousting at the third live eviction which took place on Sunday, August 16, 2020.

Kaisha‘s time at Big Brother Naija’s house is up as she has become the 5th housemate to be evicted from the Lockdown edition of the reality television show.

A whopping fourteen housemates were up for possible eviction this week, but only one eventually got evicted – and it’s the unlucky Kaisha.

Surprisingly, this was not a double eviction night after Kaisha, TrickyTee, Wathoni and Neo were announced as the housemates with the lowest number of votes.

One after the other, safe housemates were called into the Diary Room, where they each disclosed the names of the two housemates of their choice to be evicted.

Kiddwaya was the first called up to vote two housemates to be evicted and he nominated Wathoni and Kaisha. Praise was the next and he nominated Kaisha and Trickytee.

Sadly, Kaisha seems to be the lowest in the eviction poll as she was kicked out of the Lockdown show.

BBNaija 2020 has seen viewers’ votes count for little or nothing as housemates now appear to have the ultimate veto power.

As usual, show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was on hand to relay the not-so-good news.

Diddy on Producing Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’: ‘I’ve Been Trying to Connect to the Motherland’

Prominent American music mogul Sean Combs aka P. Diddy has penned a heartfelt message to the people of Africa following the release of Nigerian singer, Burna Boy‘s latest album which he played an integral role in producing.

Diddy, who served as Executive Producer of Burna Boy’s new album, ‘Twice As Tall’, took to his Twitter page on Saturday, August 15, 2020, where he released a series of tweets that details how he got the job and the importance of the project to him.

In the post, Diddy revealed that Africa had been on his mind for a while and that he had been trying to connect with the motherland until he got a call from Burna Boy.

The US hip-hop star added that he had been trying to unite with Africans through music and that it was important to make it his mission to build a bridge with his brothers and sisters in the motherland.

‘Twice as Tall’ was born through the effort of several creatives, both of African descent and outside. They include: Youssou N’Dour, Nauti by Nature, Sauti Sol, Chris Martin, Stormzy, Sean Combs aka Diddy who is listed as an executive producer, and Burna Boy himself.

Diddy while announcing the studio work on Thursday called it the “Album of the Year.”

Nkem Owoh to Star in Play Network Sequel, ‘Osuofia Goes To Miami’

Popular Nigerian film producer and Play Network CEO, Charles Okpaleke has announced that the film production company have commenced the production of a new sequel to 2003 blockbuster film, ‘Osuofia in London’.

Okpaleke made the big reveal via his Instagram page on Friday, August 14, 2020. The award-winning filmmaker wrote, “One thing I can assure you is when cinemas return, we’ve got it all lined up for the viewers till 2023! It’s called back to back!”

The upcoming movie titled ‘Osuofia Goes To Miami’, will reportedly be directed by Agozie Ugwu and veteran actor, Nkem Owoh will make a comeback as the lead character.

Following the success of Ukwa, the 2003 comedy hit ‘Osuofia in London’ is possibly the most acclaimed work by Owoh.

The film tells the story of a village man, Osuofia (Nkem Owoh), whose brother in London passes away. After his brother’s death, he is required to make a trip to London in order to finalize his inheritance of his brother’s properties. Upon getting there he realizes that everything isn’t quite on the straight and narrow.

Former Nigerian Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke was heavily slammed by Nigerians after a viral video of her making a controversial statement on Yahoo boys made its way to the internet. In the said video, Diezani, who was speaking at a virtual event organized by the Ijaw National Development Group, confidently described the increasing rate of yahoo boys in Nigeria as a travesty. She went further to state that Yahoo boys who have become role models have continued to reinforce negative societal norms and values. The former minister who has been in hiding for years, however, concluded by highlighting the importance of mentorship and how hard work only guarantees success.

On listening to the over 5 minutes clip, enraged Nigerians and keyboard warriors alike immediately took to hurling profanities at the former ministers with many calling her derogatory names such as Hushmummy, King of Boys, and even the greatest fraudster of all time.

Diezani was born in Port Harcourt on the 6th of December 1960. Following the completion of her primary education in Port Harcourt, she proceeded to Howard University in the US, where she obtained her first degree. In 2010, the former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan appointed Diezani Alison Madueke as the Federal Minister of Petroleum Minister. Although she had pledged to transform Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, she did the opposite instead by trying to run it to the ground save for a change in administration.

Following her appointment in October 2010, she became the first female to lead a country delegation at the semi-annual conference coordinated by the Organization of the Petrol Exporting Countries (OPEC). By 2014, she got elected as the first female President of OPEC.

Genevieve Nnaji Appointed As Ambassador For Toronto Film Festival 2020

Congratulations are in order for Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji who has been named an ambassador for the 2020 edition of Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) among other selected movie stars worldwide.

The celebrated filmmaker will join globally recognized filmmakers including Priyanka Chopra, Tatiana Maslany, Shamier Anderson among others for the festival which is scheduled to kick start virtually from September, 10 to September 19, 2020. The move to hold the first of its kind festival comes in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Actress Ruth Kadira wants the death penalty as standard punishment for holders of public offices who are found guilty of embezzling public funds.

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has called for voting to be temporarily suspended in Nigeria until the death sentence laws are enacted against corrupt politicians and public servants.

The movie star made this known via her Instagram page on Thursday, August 13, 2020, while lamenting at the political situation in the country.

“We should abolish voting in Nigeria until death sentence laws are given to politicians and public servants who misuse Nigeria’s funds. I said what I said. Correct me if I’m wrong and tell me what your government has done for you,” she wrote

She also stated that history has made her believe that politicians are liars and do not have the interest of the populace at heart.

“Based on what I have seen in the past, any incoming president or governor campaigning for your vote and promising you a better Nigeria is a liar! I repeat, they are liars, do not vote for them,” she continued

In a follow-up post, Ruth branded political parties as the number one problem of Nigeria.

“The number on problem of Nigeria is political parties. Best we start voting for political parties so that when a political party candidate fails in office we now we’re done with that party no stories.”

Forbes Highest-Paid Actors 2020: Dwayne Johnson Tops List Again

American super actor Dwayne Johnson has topped Forbes magazine’s list of Hollywood’s highest paid actors for the second consecutive year.

The wrestler-turned-actor bested the competition by taking home $87.5 million, which comes a little bit short of last year’s estimated earnings of $89.4 million.

According to Forbes, The Rock’s claimed the number top spot, thanks to the forthcoming Netflix film ‘Red Notice’ and made considerable returns on his collaborations with the clothes and headphones brand, Under Armour.

The Rock made an estimated $23.5 million check from that deal.

Coming in at the second highest-paid spot was Ryan Reynolds, with $71.5 million, and Mark Wahlberg was third on the list with earnings of $58 million.

Dwayne Johnson tops Forbes’ highest-paid actors list for the second year in a row.

Ben Affleck joined at number four, earning $55million. The Oscar-winner returned to the big screen with ‘The Way Back’ earlier this year. He also appeared in Netflix’s ‘The Last Thing He Wanted’. 

Johnson’s ‘Fast and Furious’ co-star Vin Diesel was next, with $54m, again mostly thanks the Netflix via their series ‘Fast & Furious Spy Racers’, which he produced.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Will Smith, Adam Sandler and martial art star Jackie Chan rounded out the top 10 list, with earnings being estimated from June 1, 2019 to June 1, 2020.

It looks like super American singer, John Legend and his doting wife, Chrissy Teigen are going to be parents for the third time as the couple has given the hint that they are expecting their third child.

The couple hinted their family was growing in the music video for the Grammy winner’s song ‘Wild’, which was released on Thursday.

Things are going to get even more ‘Wild’ for Teigen and Legend who are expecting their third child.

The steamy video for ‘Wild’ featured the singer’s wife Teigen. During the final scene, the ‘All of Me’ singer hugs Teigen as she cradles her stomach — showing the baby bump.

When the ‘Wild’ music video dropped, Teigen reshared Vevo’s tweet warning fans to look out for a “beautiful surprise.”

In ‘Wild’ Legend sings, “I wanna drive you wild, wild, wild. I wanna love you for miles and miles. We can go slow, we don’t need to rush. I’ll take the wheel, make you feel every touch. I wanna drive you wild, wild, wild.”

Now things are going to get even more
‘Wild’ for the lovely duo who are already the parents of daughter, Luna, 4, and son, Miles, 2.
