Nigerians has taken to Twitter to react to the Ministry of Finance and Budget requesting for ventilators from industrial engineer and Telsa CEO, Elon Musk.
in his effort to battle the global coronavirus pandemic, American tech billionaire Elon Musk announced via his Twitter page that his company Telsa is willing to provide free FDA-approved ventilators to worldwide hospitals within Telsa delivery region in dire need of the respiratory device to treat coronavirus patient.
“We have extra FDA-approved ventilators. Will ship to hospitals worldwide within Tesla delivery regions. Device & shipping cost are free. Only requirement is that the vents are needed immediately for patients, not stored in a warehouse. Please me or @Tesla know,” he wrote.

Nigerians has since flooded the micro blogging platform to react to the Finance Ministry’s request.
While some hailed the move, others expressed their disappointment over their decision to seek aid on such public front – despite the fact that many of the country’s billionaires has donated funds to meet such needs.
Check out the reactions below:
What of all the Billion donations by the rich, where is the money???? And also it's even more annoying when I remember we budgeted N37B for renovation of National assembly.
U can't even send a proper letter, you're replying like someone under a celeb giveaway tweet
So the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Finance has reduced itself to a common Twitter beggar because of #COVIDー19 ? What differentiates them from the guys who drop account numbers under David's Tweets?
500 ventilators that the corrupt government is begging Elon Musk for will just be N1.7b. They lied they shared N5bn to their so called poor people just yesterday. Hopeless & heartless Govt.

Begging Elon Musk or not for ventilators, from a single case of #COVID19 on 27th February in Lagos, we see figures gradually rising amid poverty and lack of infrastructures in our health sector caused by medical tourism, poor funding and corruption by government over the years.
They gat money for Toyota Camry 2020 but can't afford to buy Ventilator for #COVID19 this country called 🇳🇬 nigeria is a joke expecialy the Ministry Of Finance

Check out the heartwarming note top clergyman Bishop T.D Jakes penned for his son weeks after his wedding.
One of the most treasured messages you’ll be reading about marriage on social media this week is that of Bishop T.D Jakes to his newlywed son, Dexter Jakes.
The doting father recently took to his Instagram page on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, where he shared a deeply touching note he penned on behalf of his newlywed son.
In the message, the American pastor wrote in great length about using pain and adversity to cement the bond in marriage.
Dexter tied the knot with Larissa Piao on Thursday, March 12, 2020 — just in time before activities in the United States and around the world were disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Read the deeply touching note below:
To my son and his lovely bride, It was such an honor a few weeks ago to officiate over your wedding! As I rose this morning, I thought of how me and your mother @SeritaJakes were in a terrible car wreck, her ankle was crushed, our plans altered, and we found our challis of bliss, shattered by swelling, bleeding pain complete with the hammer of tragedy. Son, we spent almost a year in the house together. I was her therapist, teaching her how to walk! I washed her hair and prepared meals because of the severity of the accident!
Thirty-eight years later, you got married and came home from your honeymoon to a city in crises, stores, and restaurants closed, and all of our city shut down because of this Coronavirus. It has left you confined in the house with your new wife! Both your mother and I earnestly believe our bond was cemented by the adversity we faced together! As I prayed over Mr. and Mrs. T.D. Jakes Jr., I had no idea that this COVID-19 crisis would be the disruption that God ordered for your early days of matrimony. It occurs to me that you all are to be similarly connected through crises! It isn’t always what goes right that cements your union. Dig your heels in and be the strong, stable man, we raised you to be. It is the teamwork of adversity that can soder your union and weld your bond! Pain has a purpose! Isolation can bring consecration and probably endless lovemaking, lol! Seriously, it isn’t the white rice, nor the Chantilly lace. It is the unexpected, inconvenient adversity, that knits us into His plan! The Bible says the children of Israel were trapped in Egypt for 400 years. And it states, “the more they were afflicted, the more they grew!” May God make you guys one in spirit, one in purpose, one in prayer, and one in the bonds of unity! Remember, that long after I’m gone, my hand will rest upon you, my prayer will hover over you like a cloud in a breezeless sky! Greater still, What God has joined together, let no man put asunder! I guess this is God’s way of extending your vacation by court order! 😊 I just wanted you to know that our footprints are under your feet! Love, Dad @ImJustDex
It’s fair to say that T.D Jakes message to his son is worth its weight in gold.

Wimbledon today, April 1st, announced the cancelling of the British renowned tennis sports for the first time since the Second World War. This comes after COVID-19 Pandemic.
According to reports, the tough decision was made by all the England Club chiefs at an emergency board meeting on Wednesday, where they decided that it will be impossible for the tournament to be moved back to later in the year, or to be played without fans.
The popular tennis tournament which attracts many including royalty was initially due to start on 29 June, and often ends late July.
A statement published on the Wimbledon website read: “It is with great regret that the Main Board of the All England Club (AELTC) and the Committee of Management of The Championships have today decided that The Championships 2020 will be cancelled due to public health concerns linked to the coronavirus epidemic. The 134th Championships will instead be staged from 28 June to 11 July 2021.
“Uppermost in our mind has been the health and safety of all of those who come together to make Wimbledon happen – the public in the UK and visitors from around the world, our players, guests, members, staff, volunteers, partners, contractors, and local residents – as well as our broader responsibility to society’s efforts to tackle this global challenge to our way of life.”
The club added: “It is the Committee of Management’s view that cancellation of The Championships is the best decision in the interests of public health and that being able to provide certainty by taking this decision now, rather than in several weeks, is important for everyone involved in tennis and The Championships. Members of the public who paid for tickets in the Wimbledon Public Ballot for this year’s Championships will have their tickets refunded and will be offered the chance to purchase tickets for the same day and court for The Championships 2021. We will be communicating directly with all ticket-holders.”
This will be the first time since 1945 – the final year of the Second World War there will be no Grand Slam event in SW19.

Popular Nigerian media personality TokeMakinwa has weighed in her opinion on one of the most interesting topics about matters of the heart, and it’s intriguing.
In a country like Nigeria where a woman is widely expected to be dependent on a man for her financial needs, it’s no secret that many men can’t find the ground to express their feelings to a successful woman who has singlehandedly acquired wealth for herself in the event of falling in love with her.
But Toke Makinwa says any man who is intimidated by the successful life a woman has built for herself is not meant to be with her.
The controversial media girl made this known to media mogul Ubi Franklin who sought her opinion about men who are scared to approach her due to her celebrity status during a recent video conversation on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
According to her, any man who is intimidated by a hardworking woman is not worthy to be with her.
She went on to talk about how men should draw inspiration from her life’s journey as someone who lost her parent at the age of eight and had to work really hard to build a good life for herself.
“Any man who is intimidated by a hardworking woman is not your guy. Any man who meets me now should be inspired. I lost both parents at 8. I basically built a life for myself. If that doesn’t inspire you, I don’t want to be with you,” she said.
Toke Makinwa is unarguably Nigeria’s biggest female media personality. She is known for hosting The Morning Drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM and for her YouTube vlog series Toke Moments.
