“If You Want To Live Long, Owe Them Debt” Portable Releases Song Barely Hours After His Release, Details Why He Refuses To Pay

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has released a new song following his arrest.

Africanglitz reported that the Lagos State Police Command arrested the singer for refusing to pay the debt he incurred when he purchased a G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.

It was gathered that Portable, during the purchase of the vehicle worth N27 million, paid only N13 million and had refused to pay the N14 million balance on the pretext that the car was faulty.

The car dealer reported the matter to the police, who swung into action and arrested the singer.

Speaking via his Instagram page, the singer the singer stated that God is bigger than everything. He added that anyone who believed in the saying should say Amen. Portable went on to stress that God is over everything.

Now, the controversial singer has released his song, Spider-Man, giving details about his arrest.

The lyrics say in part, “Call me Spiderman, I saw danger, I jumped the fence. They say I owe money; if you want to live long, owe them debt, let them owe you. It’s a rich man who owes a car debt.”

This isn’t the first time the singer has had an issue with the law. In April 2023, Portable was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command after he refused to honour the police invitation.

He was later released after 3 days of detention at the Ilaro Correctional Center. The Ifo Magistrate Court had granted him bail of N300,000 with two sureties in like sums.

Following his release, Portable declared love for the Nigerian police while describing himself as a federal government liability.

He urged his fans and followers to show them love, respect them, and stop giving them problems.
