Singer Simi is angry that woman has to sweat out blood to have a shot at being successful unlike their male counterpart.
On Monday, May 18, 2020, popular singer Simisola Ogunleye aka Simi took to social media to lament over the struggles women go through in society before they are able to achieve their goals.
In a series of tweets shared on her Twitter page, Simi ranted about the gender inequality around workplaces amd society in general that prevents women from reaching their full potentials.
According to her, women are strong because they have to fight really hard for a spot at the table. And even when the spot is earned, they’re still disrespected. She also noted that women have to spend every single day of their lives trying to convince people that they belong where they are.
“I woke up angry today cos of a conversation I had before bed. Women are so strong. So OBVIOUSLY strong. You sweat blood for a spot at a table that disrespects your sweat. Then you spend EVERY SINGLE DAY convincing people you belong there. And the damn table isn’t even all that,” she wrote.

Writing further, she went on to note that women are constantly questioned for every decisions they make. And if a woman is to maintain her success, then she must do things on her own terms.
And when you say "Fuck it. My life, my rules." They ask why. It's because it never ends. Nothing is ever enough. And complaining is a waste of time. This is why most of the women that STAY winning have to win on their own terms. Ass-kissing is exhausting.

Simi who is expecting a baby is known to be quite outspoken about her views on women, feminism, and the need for equal rights.
