Watch out, guys! A bitter rift between pastors and your celebrity heroes is unfolding, and it’s about to leave you perplexed in regards to which side to pick.
Wizkid and Tiwa Savage have both taken to their social media spaces to scathingly attack so-called men of God that prey on the ignorance of their congregation since the aftermath of the Davido and COZA PR video that caused much unrest amongst social media users.
Taking to her Instagram page, Tiwa Savage narrated her own experience with COZA and how a video comment on the goodness of God upon her life was edited and converted into a promotional video.
She wrote:
It has been brought to my attention that there is a viral video that includes me advertising an upcoming COZA event. I want to state that I have nothing to do with the church and certainly do not endorse their events. I’m extremely disappointed that I was fraudulently approached to simply comment on how good God has been to me and it has been wrongly edited to use my image to create an advert to deceive people. COZA this is wrong!! I will be taking action if this is not immediately retracted.
While Wizkid was more scathing in his dig via his twitter handle, saying he does not endorse any pastor or church before swearing at them.
“Starboy no dey endorse no Pastor or church o! Ogun kill u fake pastors! And for that lady that put a camera in my face! Ogun kiss u and your church,” he wrote
Could pastors and popular celebrities in the music industry be in for a heated altercation?
