Thomas Markle, the father of Duchess of Sussex Meghan, gives a world exclusive interview to ITV This morning about the drama that erupting before the royal wedding, the staged pictures, why he couldn’t be at the wedding and much more.
Mr Markle also addressed the staged paparazzi photos leading up to the royal wedding saying.
“I thought it would be a nice way of improving my look, but obviously that all went to hell. I feel bad about it, I apologised for it, it was a mistake”.
He also said the photos wasn’t for money, but to change his image after a series of negative pictures that are already circulating.
“I absolutely did want to walk my daughter down the aisle” he said.
He also said that he gave Prince Harry permission to marry his daughter over the phone and admitting that he wasn’t prepared or know how difficult the whole situation was going to be.
Thomas Markle said he had never met Prince Harry or his Father; Prince Charles ever before up till today. He often spoke to Prince Harry on the phone and would like to thank Prince Charles for walking his daughter down the aisle.
‘The unfortunate thing for me now is that i’m a foot note in history rather than the dad who walked his daughter down the aisle”. He said regrettable.
