Afro Nation 2021: Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Yemi Alade & Others to Perform at Beach Festival

This year’s edition of Afro Nation has been rescheduled to hold in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Afro Nation, the number one beach festival in the world, is the latest showbiz event to be disrupted by Covid-19 outbreak. The 2020 edition of the festival which was originally scheduled to take place on July this year in Portugal will now hold on the first three days of July 2021.

News of the postponement was made known by organizers of the event in a statement on its official Instagram page.

First and foremost, we hope you, your family and friends are keeping safe and well during these unprecedented times caused by COVID-19. Afro Nation has been closely monitoring this situation and working in tandem with partners, local authorities and the Portuguese Government. The safety of our fans, artists, staff and the local community remains paramount.

In light of the recent Portuguese Government directive regarding large gatherings, Afro Nation Portugal will be postponed to July 1st – 3rd 2021 and all tickets will remain valid.

Afro Nation also used the medium to announce the roster for its 2021 event and Nigerian superstars, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Reekado Banks, Yemi Alade, Kizz Daniel, Niniola, Olamide, Patoranking, Santi, Fireboy DML, Rema, Teni, Wande Coal and Wavy The Creator all made the cut as some of the selected performers.

The beach event (which 2019 edition was held in Ghana) is set to hold in Portugal  between July 1, 2021 and July 3, 2021.
