Award-winning Afrobeats singer Davido has splashed millions on a diamond chain for his crew members, who are popularly referred to as 30BG.
The singer, via his Twitter page, shared a photo of the customized new chain, which had the inscription ’30 GB’ on it.
Tunde Ednut, a Nigerian blogger and close friend of Davido, revealed that the diamond chains are set to be worth N20 million. This means the singer spent half a billion on them.
The news has left many hailing the singer, while others have criticized him for always seeking attention on social media.

In 2022, Davido extended his generosity to his entire 30BG, gifting them customized diamond chains made by American jewelry designer Ice Box.
The jewellery designer revealed that Davido paid 2 million dollars (1.4 billion nairas) for a box of jewellery. Davido further revealed that he would be ordering another 30 for his gang.
This isn’t surprising to see the singer show love to his crew members, as most of them have been with him for years and have been loyal.
Recall that on his 30th birthday, the 30BG surprised him and found a way to put a smile on his face despite the loss of his son.
In a video that made the rounds online, his gang was seen surprising him with an instrumentalist, which left the singer taken aback with their sweet gesture.
In other news, Burna Boy reacted to a viral video of him rocking Davido’s 30BG chain before his rise to fame.
Singer Jaywon had previously claimed during an interview that Davido gifted him a 30BG chain to inspire Burna Boy and that Davido contributed to his career.
