Former singer and currently tv personality Jamelia age 37, today, August 6th had her name added to Birmingham’s Walk of Stars.
The mother-of-three will join a host of celebrities and high profile figures from Birmingham who have all had the honour bestowed upon them, including comedian Lenny Henry, Beverly Knight and actress Julie Walters.
Jamelia said: “I’m so chuffed to announce that on On Thursday, September 6 2018, I am being awarded a star on Broad Street’s “Walk of Stars” – Birmingham’s Answer to the Hollywood Walk of Fame!”
She also said she had always been a very proud Brummie and that being immortalised in the heart of her hometown was one of the highlights of her career so far.
The singer-songwriter has had two Gold albums, one Double Platinum and seven Top 10 singles in the UK.
The singer was presented with her award at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.
