Pastor Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, better known as Prophet Odumeje, is no stranger to many Nigerians. In the past decade, the primary school dropout now man of God has earned several titles for running his Onitsha-based church, Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministries. Asides from being a musician and regularly entertaining his congregation with high-life music, the Igbo Prophet’s methods of healing people like he’s wrestling with Undertaker have earned him “the wrestling pastor” title.

The recently inaugurated government led by former CBN governor Charles Soludo ordered the demolishment of several buildings in the south-eastern state, including the headquarters of Odumeje’s Church, Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministries, since April 2022. But how the joint task force officers authorised to conduct the exercise went about the job caused millions of people to pause and accuse Soludo of abusing power and having a personal vendetta against Indabosky bahose. This follows a viral video showing the famous Prophet, who calls himself the Lion or The Liquid Metal, being manhandled by the officers.

It was such a sad and embarrassing sight viewing Odumeje, who commands the utmost respect from several celebrities, being pushed, slapped, and bullied by the officers for attempting to obstruct their activities. As you can imagine, this incident attracted the condemnation of many, including Daddy Freeze, Rita Edochie, and Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministeries urged Charles Soludo to condemn the physical assault on the revered Prophet.
