Music Icon John Legend has finally revealed that he unfriended Kanye during an appearance on “The Axe Files podcast”.
While their friendship still stood, the cordial relationship between the duo was quite tight, if you recall, the “All of Me” singer performed live at Kanye’s wedding to his now ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
Another reason stated for this break-up was because Kanye supported former president Donald Trump. John, while still on talking terms with the rapper, besieged him to quite this trail he’s following.
He went on to highlight the highly esteemed status and the role he plays in the heart of his many fans, John stated the obvious on how much confidence Kanye was beginning to loose among his fans and followers. In return, the rapper tagged this message as John’s means of manipulating him by bringing up his fans and status in the issue.
On the podcast, John explained ; “I honestly think because we publicly disagreed on his running for office, his supporting Trump, I think it became too much for us to sustain our friendship,”
He further said; “He was upset that I didn’t support his run for presidency of the United States of America for understandable reasons.”
Although they haven’t been close since then, John still reflects on the gains he derived from their friendship while it lasted.
