Nollywood actress and talk of the moment, Eniola Ajao, has finally broken her silence on Bobrisky’s controversy.

It was reported that the movie star premiered her highly anticipated movie, Ajanaku: Beast of Two Worlds, on Sunday, which saw lots of celebrities in attendance.

Many had turned up in interesting costumes, and to the surprise of many, Bobrisky was crowned the Best Dressed Female of the Night, thereby walking home with a million checks, which didn’t sit well with many.

The crossdresser’s win had brought drama to the internet as Toyin Abraham, Dayo Amusa, Portable, and more clashed with the crossdresser.

The whole drama took a different turn as it led to a public spat between Femi Adebayo and Dayo Amusa, who had criticized the movie star for announcing Bobrisky as the winner.

In an interview with Arise News TV, Eniola made it known that it was a deliberate action to pick Bobrisky as the winner, as it was all a publicity stunt and marketing strategy to promote her movie.

She noted how a crossdresser is a controversial person, hence her decision to award him the Best Dressed Female to generate more buzz for her project.

She noted how people are dragging Femi Adebayo, who was oblivious to her schemes and was only trying to support her by being the presenter of the night.

“It was all joke, we wanted to have fun. We wanted people to talk about the movie. My team and I decided that the movie needed to be talked about and for it to be in the faces of people and we decided to give it to Bobrisky because he is a controversial person. At the end of the day, people started talking about it, but some people are trying to come at Femi Adebayo, who is my boss. He wasn’t even aware of so many things that were going on. I only called him to help me announce this, he wasn’t part of the judges or anything”.

In her caption, she tendered a deep apology to him, noting how nobody deserves to be in such a situation as he was only supporting a colleague, whom he considers his sister.

“Hey fam, I was on @arisenewsofficial today to promote the most-anticipated movie of the season, @ajakajumovie and I touched on the trending issue of best-dressed female at the premiere

I appreciate all women all around the globe. You all are strong, bold, powerful, fierce, and monumental. Nothing in the world, not my decisions or that of anyone can take that away from you. Please, guys, take it easy on my boss @femiadebayosalami, all he did was to support his sister and things went south – a position nobody deserves to find themselves in. I apologize to him, @dayoamusa, and to EVERYONE who feels offended about how everything turned out. Please, don’t throw the baby away with the bathwater

Thanks for the unwavering love and support! Come March 29, I can’t wait for you all to see @ajakajumovie and you will be glad you did. Spread the word – BEAST OF TWO WORLDS is coming!!!!”

Eniola also apologized to Dayo Amusa and others who might have been offended by how things turned out.

Elsewhere in the interview, Eniola revealed how she sold her properties to bring the movie to life. She disclosed that she spent over N200 million on the project because it is dear to her heart.

During the premiere of her movie, a young man recounted the sacrifice made by Eniola Ajao on the project to the guests at the event.

In the clip, the man claimed that the actress sold some properties, including land, cars, and gold, just to ensure that the project saw the light of day.

He said that Ajao was discouraged to the point that she wanted to give up, even though she had sold so many things.
