Former US president, Barack Obama and his beautiful wife, Michelle celebrated their 27 years of marriage on October 3rd in the most beautiful way. The renowned couple took to social media to wish each other happy anniversary.
The former US president and first lady shared romantic messages and pictures on their Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Michelle, who published her memoir, Becoming, last year, wrote about her love for her husband and also made mention of the new phase their relationship has entered. Both their daughters, Malia, 21, and Sasha, 18, are now living away from home at university.
“Twenty-seven years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered. Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next — while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack,” Michelle said.

Barack has thanked his wife for “27 amazing years” and shared with his followers that their marriage was only getting better.
He posted a short and sweet message to his wife on his Twitter account, alongside an image of them both admiring a sunset abroad.
Barack wrote: “Like the Beatles said: It’s getting better all the time. Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years!”.

The couple met in 1989 at a Chicago law firm. Michelle was working at the firm when Barack joined as an intern on the summer programme. She was appointed to be his mentor.
They dated for two years before Barack proposed at a restaurant in the Windy City and married at Trinity United Church of Christ.
