Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has got a personal story from seven years ago to tell to his fans and followers on social media today – and it is one of defiance and resilience in the face of adversity.
Gideon Okeke is recounting a harassment experience he suffered when he was still a rookie in the movie industry and how it left him inspired.
The Tinsel actor in a post shared via his Instagram page on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, narrated how an unnamed female filmmaker threatened to end his acting career following an argument that involved him speaking his truth during a filming session at Tinapa studio in Calabar.
Gideon said he was written off by the filmmaker who instructed people not to assign movie roles to him.
However, the former Big Brother Africa housemate went on to add that despite her efforts to sabotage his career, he is still getting roles and even creating job opportunities for colleagues.
He captioned the post : “EXACTLY 7 YEARS AGO. TINAPA STUDIOS, CALABAR, 3PM. I NEVER FORGOT. BUT I FORGAVE. If you were in the room that day, and you witnessed that episode, now be the Judge. What did Gideon do to warrant such a steep Sentencing? I was also made to apologize for My Truth being too TRUTHFUL.”
