Twenty months after he was diagnosed with a mid-sized kidney tumour and several low points of fighting hard for his life, fast-rising Nollywood actor Karibi Theodore Fubara passed away on December 15 of, 2021, leaving behind his friends, colleagues, parents, siblings, and a wife who loved him dearly.
Chief Black, as his friends and family fondly called him, was a prolific actor, model, producer, and trained chemical engineer at the Ohio State University, US. After years of working in the American Entertainment Industry and collaborating with stars such as Jidenna, Idris Elba, and John Legend, Karibi joined Nollywood in the early 2010s and soon became known for his role in the 2018 movie, “God Calling”. He went on to act in several other productions such as Gidi Up, Ratnik, Castle and Castle, Before 30, and most recently, Smart Money Woman.
During his lifetime, the actor from Opobo Town, Rivers State, lived an impactful life and his Sister, Aya Eneli, described him as one who lived fully and with joy. #KabribiFaburasburial #ChiefBlackburial #Nollywoodburial
