Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has said she is certain that her colleague, Genevieve Nnaji will soon address rumours about her mental breakdown.
Genevieve became a subject of discussion in May 2022 after it was rumoured that she had been admitted to a hospital in the United States following an alleged mental health crisis.

Speaking on the matter in a recent Twitter post, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, who was once Genevieve’s BFF said she has nothing to say about the concerning situation. However, she added that her colleague Nnaji would address concerned fans very soon.
The conversation started after a fan asked, “say something on Genevieve’s condition please”
In response, the Nollywood star, mother of four gave a glimpse of hope by saying, “Don’t have anything to say to you unfortunately but I’m sure she will speak to her fans very soon.”
Recalling, the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has denied being in the know of anything about the mental health problems surrounding Genevieve Nnaji.
A social media blogger, Gist lover, had reported that the actress is being treated for mental health issues at a hospital in Houston, Texas.
The blog claimed Genevieve had been indulging in drugs and lesbianism. This was a day after Genevieve Nnaji deleted all her posts on Instagram.
Reacting to the development, the president of the AGN, Emeka Rolland, told NAN that he was not aware of Genevieve’s health issues.
Emeka Rolland, however, promised to reach out to the actress to know if she was safe.
He said: “I will have to reach out to her since I am just getting this news from you now. I have not learnt of that.”
“I’ll reach out to her to know whether she is safe or not after your call. I cannot just conclude with hearsay or rumours”.
In another development, Omotola has confirmed that she and her family have relocated to the U.S.
According to the report, the actress and her family on Sunday, September 24 were spotted during a church service in West Hollywood.
When asked if she was on holiday in the United States, Omotola responded saying, “No we live here now”
