The African International Film Festival (AFRIFF) is a well known movie festival. The event showcase a complete immersion into the world of film making with participation from local and international filmmakers. Professionals and learners from all around Africa including celebrities, actors, directors, film critics, buyers, distributors, visual artists, film students, amateurs, equipment manufacturers, and press come together to explore and learn.
This year is the 4th edition of the well talked about festival and it was a 8 days event which kicked of from the 9th until the 16th of November in Tinapa, Calabar, Nigeria. Nollywood princess Rita Dominicic is one of the Ambassadors of the organisation.
Kunle Afolayan, a top Nollywood movie maker was one of the few to grab more than one award at the closing ceremony of the event, his winning includes Best script, Best Actor and Best feature film award which went to October 1. Other celebrities spotted at the event includes Geneviv Nnaji,Ramsey Nouah, Emem Isong, Tunde Kelani,Linda Ejiofor, Rita Dominic, Uru Eke, Beverly Naya, Bola Agbaje, Niyi Towolawi to name a few.
