African Film Festival, will showcase films from across Africa. The festival will be a showcase of a select category of African films from Nigeria, Ghana, Mali, South Africa and North Africa for the viewing pleasure of the UK film lovers including Africans.
A workshop for aspiring film makers will be part of the festival and will take place in Manchester College and other venues. The festival will start with a glamorous colourful red carpet event and the films screened all through the weekend finishing on Sunday the 26th with an award show and dinner.

Symposium: 10.00am – 11.45pm – Nollywood the next chapter (funding, copyright, collaborations, legislation, Grammy nominations)
12.00– 12.50 – Black and White a documentary about Nigeria Immigrants in the UK from the 1940s to 1960s followed by Q&A/meet and greet with these great men and women.
3.30 – 3.50 – Agorkoli (Animated short) by Francis Brown -GH
4.00 – 4.15 – Finding Nollywood (Documentary)
