Former US President Barack Obama is back with his annual Summer Playlist.

The former president, in a tweet on his official Twitter page, revealed his favorite songs for Summer.

The Summer playlist comprises 41 songs for the year 2023, and as always, Nigerian artists were included on the list.

Retaining their spot in his 2022 Music playlist, Burna Boy and Ayra Starr made it to his summer list.

Ayra Starr made it to the list with her 2023 hit song, “Stability”, while Burna Boy made it to the list with his song “Sitting On Top Of The World” remix featuring 21 Svage.

“Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer—a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed”.

Last year, Burna Boy and Tems made it to his Summer playlist.

On his Twitter page, he revealed that he gets excited to share his playlist with his millions of followers as he has learned about so many new artists from their replies.

He added that their replies are an example of how music can bring us all together.

In the past, Rema and Wizkid had made it to his playlist, but this year, the singers didn’t make it to his list.

Fast-rising singers Tems, Buju, and Pheelz made it to the list, as did Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy.

The sensational singer and queen of the moment, Tems’ Vibes, was second on his playlist.

Pheelz & Buju’s hit song “Finesse” also made it to the playlist, as did Burna Boy’s Last Last.

As always, Beyonce made it to the list, along with Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, Rosalia, and others.

The ex-US president revealed his favorite list via his official Twitter page, saying he enjoyed sharing the list.
