Kahfi Kareem of Big Brother Naija has moved to react back to the derogatory remarks recently aimed towards her by fellow ex-housemates, Mercy Eke and Venita Akpofure on Instagram.
The drama started on Friday May 22, 2020, when Tacha held an Instagram live session to defend her friend Khafi after she was attacked by trolls who called her ‘two faced’ and a ‘Gossip’ on Twitter.
The incident caught the attention of Mercy and Venita who equally went live on Instagram a few hours later to react. But rather than join in the defense of one of their own, the pair made mockery of Tacha by asking her what she stand to gain for defending Khafi.
However, On Saturday, May 23, 2020, reality TV star Khafi took to her YouTube channel where she addressed the issue. In the video, Khafi publicly declared her love and support for friend, Tacha, who she addressed as her ‘ride or die.’
The 29-year old stated forcefully that she is not fazed by the backlashes that are being mounted on her because of their friendship. She also indicated that if she’s going to be persecuted for being Tacha’s friend, then so be it.
In her own words, she that “This is the video I was not going to do, I was not going to address anything, I was going to leave everything as it was. I had even spoken to my girl and said don’t say anything but obviously, it’s gone all a bit over the top.
“I just want to encourage you that in your life there will be opposition, there will be certain people in your life who shouldn’t be in your life. And also there are those people you need to hold on to. I want to shout out to my girl, Tacha, yes I want to shout her out.”
All four ladies were housemates in the fourth season of Big Brother Naija.
